I accept a limited number of commissions, but I am most interested in subjects that offer more than a likeness. The strongest portraits begin with a relationship, a memory, or something meaningful that deserves to be preserved.

My aim is not simply to reproduce a photograph. I look for the particular gesture, expression, atmosphere, or connection that gives the image its life—and enough artistic freedom to develop it into a painting that can stand on its own.

Selected charcoal portrait commissions begin at $1,200 CAD. Multi-subject, oil, and Fusainaille works are quoted individually. Framing and shipping are separate.

How it works

​

1. Conversation — We discuss the subject, desired size, medium, timing, and the story behind the work.

​

2. Reference material — We choose or create photographs that provide the right expression, lighting, and detail.

​

3. Proposal — You receive a written scope with dimensions, price, estimated schedule, and payment stages. A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves the commission.

4. Creation — I develop the work in the studio and share progress at agreed milestones.

​

5. Completion — The finished work is signed and delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity.
